James' Hockeying

My parents, Ray and Ros, met through their shred interests in hockey.. As a young kid I remember spending many a weekend causing mischief on the sidelines while mum or dad were playing.  This never materialised into an active interest in the sport for me so I was quite amused and even a little moved when James decided this year that he wanted to play hockey through his school, Northcote Primary.

Have to say that as a parent is a pretty nightmarish experience with some 200 or more kids playing every 30 minutes at Rosedale park right on the Auckland rush-hour peak. Hopefully this will get better as he gets older.  Even so James is hooked and claims Hockey is favourite sport at the moment
