Saint Cernin de l'Herm

Saint Cernin de lherm2

Looking down on our village from the adjacent hill.  Our house is hidden in the trees in the top right of the picture, our nearest neighbours house is just visible through the trees (centre right).  The village church is on the top of the town, the steeple juts out above the Marie and senior primary school building.

It won't be long before all these trees put their spring coats on.

There is a B&B near the church but no shops apart from the petrol station/ restaurant  (Les Routiers) on the main road which runs along the bottom of this picture.

They have good set lunch menu (3 course) for €11.

School Trip

Today the boy's went on their first school trip to a nearby aquarium.  They were very excited as they got to handle/ touch snakes.  That's all we heard on the way home from school, who touched what and where.

P.S. New Zealand has no snakes (imported or natural), none, only a few stuffed ones.

James Post

James asked me to put this picture on the blog, so he could send it to his friends at Tots. It is a creation (Rocket Ship) that he has made (by himself) from some recycling.

Our other interesting news is that in the last day, James has twice spoken French to his brothers when he has been angry with them. Anyway they understood him! We had to use the dictionary to find out what the words meant.

What have we done...........

Blog Update

I have been having a few technical problems over the last few weeks. It has been very frustrating trying to post online when things don't work as they should.

I traced the problem to a limit on the number of photo's that can be held in a Picasa Web Album. I attribute 10% of the blame to Google for poor documentation and 90% to Microsoft (Live Writer) for poor programming.

Anyway: Let me take this as an opportunity to post a blogging update.

  1. Please feel free to click and leave us a comment, a question or request. What do you want to know that we are not telling you?
All comments are appreciated: it is good to know that our posts are being read.
  2. If you are interested in getting email updates via email then add your email address in the subscription box. Feedblitz is one of the more popular Internet feeders and newsletters. It will send you a confirmation email and then, once you have confirmed, a daily summary of any posts (if there are any).
